You probably wouldn’t start crafting a pickaxe, mining ore, and smelting it in a homemade furnace if you suddenly found yourself alone in an abandoned, quarantined district.
We built this game around the idea of what a real person would actually do to survive in such a situation — in today’s world.
Your smartphone is your best friend and your worst enemy
Your main survival tool is your smartphone. You don’t have a magic book of survival tips, so if you need to figure something out or craft an item — just look it up on the in-game Internet.
Your phone also has a map, flashlight, weather forecast, annoying ads, and plenty of unreliable information.
But hey — you’ve got to survive somehow, right?
Use what’s around you
Of course, you won’t be crafting a solar panel from scratch just by following an online guide. If you want electricity in your shelter, it’s probably easier to take one off a nearby abandoned house.
Keep your eyes open — the world around you is full of things that might help you stay alive.
Fortify your shelter
Wood is your main building material, but that doesn’t mean your base can’t be reinforced.
Rip a car door or hood off an old vehicle and bolt it to your wooden wall — and all of a sudden, unwanted visitors will have a much harder time getting inside.
Look around — is there anything else you can use?
Explore the world
Make your way through a surprisingly vibrant abandoned District, observe animal behavior, hunt, farm, build your shelter, and maybe even adopt a pet.
Restore an old car, and traveling through the Leminsgale District will become much easier.
Follow the story
The district was sealed off years ago, never fully evacuated.
Those who remained lost their minds and have been wandering aimlessly ever since. They won’t welcome your visit.
But what really happened to them? Another epidemic? Some strange fungus again? Or did something far worse shatter their minds?
Together with one of the district’s former residents, you’ll uncover what truly went wrong in Leminsgale.
