The world has changed. The Fulminant Encephalopathy Virus Disease (FEVID)—colloquially known as the 'Fool's Virus'—did not kill everyone it touched. Instead, it stripped half of humanity of their intellect. Those suffering from the cognitive decline aftereffects were abandoned by society, cast out into the quarantine zone known as 'Rustown'.

[Slum Story] is a narrative-driven action-adventure game set in this isolated, lawless slum.

For three years, Jian believed her infected father was gone forever. But a sudden, short letter from him changes everything. To find him, she must step into Rustown—a place where public authority has vanished, and chaos reigns.

What awaits her is a city torn apart by hatred: the 'Vigilantes' who hunt the infected, and 'Blue Fence', a fortress built by the infected to survive. Amidst this conflict, can Jian find her father and bring him home?

This is a 'Tender Dystopia' dedicated to those weary of hatred.
