Tax Return is a fast-paced, 2D pixelated platformer/tower climber. Play the game as Swindling Steve, an unhinged Florida man who mentally snaps after receiving an absurdly high tax bill from the SRI (Service of Revenue Internally). Fueled by caffeine, alcohol, and the righteous fury of every taxpayer, Steve is armed with chaotic weapons, healing donuts, and pure spite, ready to unleash chaos. Storm into the SRI floor by floor and unleash your wrath upon the government.

Climb the Corporate and Bureaucratic Tower

Every floor is packed with traps of all kinds. Spikes, pipes, and locked doors all protected by paper-pushers who would audit your life before getting to your wallet.

Speed is key

Use your reckless courage and ratty tactics. Take insane risks, trick shots, and chase that perfect run. The faster you do it, the higher the score. So, felon, how fast can you clear the tower?

Die, and then die again

Every death teaches you a new lesson. Learn the patterns, embrace the pain, and master the climb. Easy to learn, hard to master.

Look out for the loot you can get! Collect the cats to upgrade your player, a fun easter egg from our devs. Rob the pigs of their donuts, and make sure to visit the water coolers for a quick break and replenish a bit of your health.

The game will have numerous levels, traversal abilities, a myriad of weapons, and many different enemy types. The game will also have an endless mode to challenge the player to climb their way to the top forever.
