The Final Oath

The Final Oath is a rogue-like, survivor-style, deck-building game where chaos reigns, heroes rise, and the only rule is don’t die... again.

This is my take on the survivor genre mixed in with my love for board games. I like difficult games with simple mechanics, so this is my take on simplifying the mechanics, while delivering a challenging experience. Also, I figured out a way to spawn 2000 enemies on screen, at once, in Unreal Engine. I'm pretty proud of myself. LOL

How to Play the Game

There are 4 heroes in the game. Each Hero has their own dedicated Starter Deck consisting of 30 cards.

1. Build your Battle Deck of 30 cards following the rule: 6 Core Cards, 10 Stat Cards and the remaining with Augments and Actions

• Core Card: The main weapon cards

• Augments: These are attached to the CORE cards and provide unique perks to the card

• Action: Instant or Conditional cards, used to provide instant and quick benefits

• Stats: Provides stat bumps to further support your gameplay.

2. Choose a Map and difficulty. Easy mode is still a challenge, there is a small learning curve, nothing you cannot handle Hero!

3. Your Battle Deck is shuffled and creates the draw pile. On game start, one CORE card will be randomly picked and equipped.

4. Kill enemies, collect gold from the ground to trigger Draw phase.

5. During Draw Phase, 3 top cards from your Draw pile is revealed and you can pick 1 card to activate immediately. The remaining 2 cards are added to the Discard pile.

6. Once the Draw pile runs out of cards, your discard pile will be shuffled into creating a new Draw pile.

7. After every Draw phase, the Draft Phase will trigger, where you will be given a choice of 3 cards to pick one from. You don't know what you will pick until you do, so hope that RNG is on your side.

8. The Drafted card will be immediately added to the discard pile for you to draw after the next reshuffle.

9. Draft phase ensures healthy deck building experience and improve deck quality.

10. Thats it, Keep drawing cards to make yourself stronger. Draft more cards to keep your deck healthy and improves it quality, survive 15mins.
