W.A.R.D.

W.A.R.D. offers a unique twist on the Tower Defense genre: in a stylized sci-fi universe, you control mobile mining units called the Excavators to invade alien worlds and mine their precious ores. You then use these resources to build and expand your network of paths and towers to protect your excavation from native defenders and upgrade your arsenal.

Using the Build Core you piece together a route connecting your Excavators to the desired deposit. But be weary, as these paths will also be used by the approaching enemies, so their efficiency is a double-edged sword. Unlike traditional TD games, your base is not static - if things get messy, you can build emergency paths to hide away until your towers finish the job or abandon your position altogether and set up elsewhere.

There are two primary resources to be extracted: Constructium is your lifeline - use it to build new structures and expand your defenses during each mission. But the real objective of your mining endeavours is Winnium - a rare mineral much desired by the W.A.R.D. corporation, used between missions to research new technologies and upgrade your arsenal!

W.A.R.D. takes full advantage of its 3D environment. Each object has a physical hitbox and is subject to physics - enemies can push and jump onto each other or be blown to orbit by powerful explosions!
