Meet Project Alex — Your Intelligent Desktop Companion
Project Alex is an experimental AI assistant that lives on your desktop, not in a browser tab. Unlike Siri or ChatGPT, Alex runs entirely locally on your machine. She sees your cursor, sits on your active windows, and talks with you via voice in real-time.

Full Voice Control: Just speak naturally. Just say "Alex". No wake words required (uses VAD).
Interruptible: You can cut her off mid-sentence to change the topic, just like a real conversation.
100% Private & Offline: Powered by local Whisper (STT), Llama (LLM), and Kokoro (TTS). No audio or data ever leaves your PC.
Desktop Presence: She follows your cursor, reacts to your actions, and sits on your active windows.

💻 System Requirements
Since the AI runs locally on your hardware, a dedicated GPU is highly recommended.
OS: Windows 10/11
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6GB) or better recommended.
RAM: 8GB+ minimum (16GB recommended).
Microphone: Required.

Built with Godot 4. Uses Silero VAD, Whisper, Llama, and Kokoro TTS.
