Game Description

Railroad to Amberfield is a cozy railway strategy game with light puzzle elements. Build your route tile by tile, complete tasks, and guide your train toward its goal. Pick up passengers, connect towns, and deliver goods from farms, mills, and forests. Each completed task earns you a reward that helps you continue your journey.

Each map gives you a limited number of turns, so you need to think through how to build your railway in a way that completes all objectives and still reaches the goal in time. And not all tiles are the same: building on fields is easier and cheaper than digging a tunnel in the mountains or constructing a bridge over a river.

Features

  • Turn based railway construction on a tile map with relaxed gameplay

  • Random track pieces available for building on each turn

  • A variety of tiles on your path, from fields and flower meadows to mountains and rivers

  • Three types of biomes: autumn forests, summer meadows and northern mountains, each changing the visual style and character of the map

Game modes

The game features several modes: a 25-mission campaign with carefully planned maps, as well as a random map generator that can create anything from small 6×6 tile maps to large 18×18 ones.

The maps range from simple, where you mostly encounter field tiles and straightforward tasks, to more complex layouts with mountains, lakes, forests and rivers, which add interesting challenges when choosing the best route.

This means you can always pick a more relaxed play style or something more demanding if you want to think a bit more about your path. In any case, we hope your journey will be a wonderful one!
