They thought they could steal the blueprints to the C.O.R.E. - a revolutionary Vithium-powered heart replacement - and turn it into a mass-produced tool for control.

Rebellious Takeover is a chaotic mashup of high-speed Beat-Em-Up action and chill Slice-of-Life storytelling. One minute you're juggling corporate goons in the air; the next, you're arguing over whose turn it is to do dishes at the hideout.
MEET THE "SUBROUTINE" CREW
You aren't just an army of one. You're a found family of misfits running a tech repair shop front while planning the heist of the century.
DEREN ( The Leader ): A tech genius with cat ears and a literal glowing mechanical heart. He’s the strategist, the inventor, and the guy stressing out because his illegal scouter just picked up a Veritas kill-squad.
PHENN ( The Anchor ): Don't let the shy demeanor fool you. She’s the emotional glue holding this disaster of a team together - and the only one who can talk Deren down from a panic attack.
RAL & CEL ( The Power Couple ): She’s loud, reckless, and covered in plasters. He’s quiet, tactical, and tired. Together, they are a married two-person army that will absolutely ruin your day.
JAYCE ( The Masked Hacker ): A socially anxious coding wizard who wears a voice-modulator mask because talking to people is the real boss fight. He’d rather hack a bank than make eye contact.
LYRA ( The Gremlin Incarnate ): She lives on the internet, hasn't slept in 3 days, and can snipe you from a mile away while chugging an energy drink.

THE GAMEPLAY LOOP
BREAK FACES
Experience fluid, anime-inspired combat. Chain combos, launch enemies, and call in your teammates for "Assist Attacks" (like Lyra teleporting in to snipe a fool) to clear the streets of Veritas security.
BREAK BREAD
When the fighting is done, head back to Subroutine. Hang out on the couch, play video games, and engage in a full Visual Novel relationship system. Learn their backstories, unlock new combo moves by bonding, and maybe find romance amidst the chaos.
BREAK THE RULES
Explore the semi-open districts of Nexon. It’s not just a backdrop; it’s a living city. Take on odd jobs, find hidden upgrades, and survive random street brawls in a reactive world that hates you.
