Game Description
OVERVIEW
Early 1990s, China. The reform era is rewriting everything — the economy, the streets, the people on them.
Shifu: Traffic & Glory is a driving anthology set in one living Chinese city at the peak of its transformation. Five protagonists. Five VHS series. Five ways to work the same streets.
You are a Shifu 师傅 — a skilled working driver who reads the traffic, knows the shortcuts, and earns their reputation one run at a time. No GPS. No racing lines. The city is the only map that matters.
Each job sets its own rules. A truck full of livestock drives nothing like a van full of fragile goods. A nervous passenger changes how you take corners. A fleeing suspect in a crowded intersection changes everything. The city responds to how you drive it. Prove your Shifu title with every run.
FEATURES
Five Ways to Work the City
Truck — Haul goods across city districts under deadline. Fragile loads punish hard braking. Live animals panic as you do too.
Taxi — Read your fare, read the traffic, find the route nobody else knows. Every passenger has demands. Some are reasonable.
Bus — A full load, a fixed route, and rush hour. The schedule doesn't care about the traffic.
Police — Pursue suspects through streets that don't empty for you. Live traffic. Real consequences.
Racing — City circuits where knowing the alley behind the street market is worth more than horsepower.
The City Changes How You Drive
Vehicles from tricycles to city buses, from minivans to limos — each handles differently, each has a job.
No GPS, no route lines — the city rewards drivers who learn it
Dynamic traffic, weather, and seasons shift the challenge every run
Cargo types, passenger moods, and road conditions change your approach to every corner
80s/90s vehicle roster: diverse cars, vans, trucks, buses and more from across the world. Each with unique handling, true to the era’s real-world traffic.
