Game Description

SOLUM is a sandbox factory-builder set on drifting floating islands orbiting a collapsed star. Harvest Sol and tame its energy, and stitch a working ecosystem together before the Island-Network tears itself apart.

Design modular production lines, automate everything.
Every decision pushes the system toward stability… or a beautiful, catastrophic chain reaction.

Build. Automate. Survive the pull.

  • Floating-island factory
Expand from a single rock to a Island-Network. Claim new islands for space and more Sol deposits, then hold them together with infrastructure.

  • Resource loops with consequence
Convert Sol and Lum into advanced components. Production creates Lost Sol you’ll have to manage.

  • Logistics that scale
Relays for local throughput, burst transmitters for island-to-island shipping. Balance cost, reliability, and timing to keep lines saturated.

  • Power & stability
Spin up Sol Extractors and maintain island integrity under increasing load. Push too hard and you’ll trigger accelarated decent and structural decay.

  • Research & progression
Unlock new machines, better routing, smarter control, and tools to reshape islands into production hubs.

  • A living sandbox
Pause, plan, and iterate. Build for elegance or brute-force capacity; the simulation doesn’t care how pretty it is if it works.

Development Status

SOLUM is in active development and currently in closed testing.
The focus right now is core factory gameplay, logistics, and island management.
Additional systems, including combat-adjacent challenges and some special modes, are being explored and will be shared when they’re ready.
