It has been a century since humanity retreated into the Spire Cities—towers stretching eight kilometers into the sky, high above the toxic clouds. Down on the surface, fleets of intelligent machines were left to maintain the world and supply the towers with everything we needed.

Since then, everything ran on its own. No one remembers how it works anymore. The city above the clouds is the only world we know.
