Game Description
A beautiful place to hit rock bottom.
The Bitter End is a sapphic visual novel & dating sim about the terror and necessity of being truly known.

You first awaken as the Stranger (name customizable) —
masked, marked, and missing pieces of yourself —
surrounded by six passengers,
each with their own reasons for being here.

Anahita
Age: 28
A former street thief turned lord's wife turned fugitive.
Beauty is her weapon and her armor.

Wren
Age: 35
The witch, sharp-tongued and self-destructive.
Everyone who has ever loved her has died or worse,
and she's sure you'll be next.

Neruda
Age: 32
The doctor, optimized from birth with machine woven into their body.
But their systems are failing,
and they don't know who they are without them.

Kit
Age: 30
Folksy charm, boyish warmth, daring grins.
She's hiding something behind that performance,
and she's been hiding it for fifteen years.

Eshe
Age: 45
A quiet, soft girl was once raised to lead her clan.
Now the woman carries a small flame
that twenty years of exile couldn't put out.

Jiye
Age: 25
The Radiant Wing was world-famous celebrity and spirit warrior all at once.
She may have fallen, but her smile has stayed up.
What to expect:
A painterly, illustrative visual identity inspired by the atmosphere of classical maritime art, with an original soundtrack grounded in 19th-century sea ballads
Light life-sim mechanics with needs management, affinity meters, and a dynamic NPC scheduling system
NPC dynamics between characters that continue to exist without your presence, including potential romances between them
A diverse cast of characters ranging from 25-45 years old, drawn from different worlds, cultures, and experiences
Five distinct endings independent of your romance path
Play style options ranging from transparent detail to full immersion: know exactly the numbers behind the scenes, or rely on narrative alone
8-10 hours per playthrough
The water shifts.
The ship watches.
And no one leaves unchanged.
