UNIT 42: Adrift in Space

Unit 42: Adrift In Space is a 2D space-themed video game that blends exploration with management and automation. The game focuses on resource gathering, crafting, and constantly upgrading your ship. Your mission is to take command of Unit 42, a modular ship that you will need to repair, expand, and improve in order to progress and complete your final objective.

GATHER

Explore regions and collect everything you find. You can extract materials from asteroids, salvage the hulls of abandoned ships, and recover their components. You will also have automatic collection capsules at your disposal that you can send out to bring back resources. If you're missing something, you can always try trading with the various extraterrestrial entities that populate the galaxy.

CRAFT

Turn the raw materials you've gathered into useful materials and components. Crafting is the key to progressing. You'll be able to build everything from simple repair parts to complex modules. Creating more advanced materials will allow you to manufacture new and better capsules, which in turn will give you access to new possibilities to continue your mission.

RECRUIT

Space is full of life, and you won't be alone on your journey. Along the way, you'll encounter different beings and entities, each with unique abilities and specialties. Invite them to join your crew. Having them on board will not only keep you company but also provide crucial help in managing the ship and overcoming challenges.

AUTOMATE

Once your ship starts to grow, you'll need help managing everything. You'll be able to manufacture more advanced capsules that include space for crew and special functions. The goal is to create a system that runs on its own. Automate gathering and production so that resources keep coming in and factories never stop, allowing you to focus on more important aspects.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH

The galaxy is huge and full of opportunities. Use the map to plot your route and decide which regions of space to visit. Each area has its own resources and special events.

COMPLETE YOUR MISSION

Your main objective is to maintain and grow Unit 42. But why are you there? While you make sure the ship is running and your crew is safe, you'll have the option to follow the threads of the main story and work to fulfill the original mission that brought you to space. Or, if you prefer, you can ignore it and simply watch your resource stockpile grow.
