Game Description

XYLOMETAZOLINE is a surreal, first-person narrative experience rooted in the PSX-horror aesthetic. It explores the harrowing struggle of addictions that regulate both the physical and emotional state, portrayed through a dependency on nasal drops. It is a philosophical journey through a world where every living being is hooked on something, and the line between substance and habit has blurred into an existential nightmare.

The Story

You play as Nobody - a faceless, shadow-like figure sitting in a dimly lit apartment in a decaying, post-communist block. Your life is a cycle of catastrophic news on TV and the constant need to breathe. When a mysterious car accident leaves a package for a stranger's "daughter" in your hands, you are thrust into a journey through brutalist estates, the abandoned offices of the XYLOLIFE corporation, and liminal spaces where architecture itself is built from addiction.

Take care of your sanity to stay sane, and it won't be easy - addiction constantly reminds you of itself.

Wander through surreal and dark corridors and try not to lose yourself in it all. A unique, atmospheric, and well-soundtracked journey through the deepest recesses of the human mind awaits you. Will you take control of your addiction, or is it already controlling you?
